We arrived on a Sunday before 3 pm but the museum was closed. They have advertised the opening hours as 11 am to 3 pm.

Gingin Railway Station
Gingin Railway Station and Quarters is a good example of a Victorian era railway building in the Vernacular style, which has retained most of its original form and has been restored to its original condition. It is the only Midland Railway Company building that retains its original form and a significant component of the streetscape of Jones’ Street.Gingin Railway Station and Quarters forms part of a heritage precinct, which includes Gingin Hotel (1902), Granville Hotel (1860), St Luke’s Anglican Church (1860), Mrs. Jones’ Cottage (1859), and Uniting Church (1870).

Traveled to Northam twice now to see this museum and both times it was closed. Did check on both occasions that it was open, but when arrived it was closed.Don't bother!

Adults $10.00; Seniors $8.00; Children (4-14yrs) $5.00Operates SAT + SUN + SCHOOL HOLIDAYSExcellent ride, forget about kids, a best experience of real passenger train service can be experienced by adults and recall childhood memories to talk about with kids. Both open and Cabin compartments available. Open will be bit windy (depends on when you visit).Parking is just in front of the train station.
